Role: Graphic Designer & Editor, with Dasha Ortengberg
Client: Harvard University Graduate School of Design & La Fondation Sylvia Bongo Ondimba
This book was designed to document the research done through the 'Retooling Gabon' studio at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design, led by Ben Aranda. The object of the studio was to study the relationship between the untouched ecology of Gabon and its growing capital city of Libreville.
The book documents the hands-on research and visit to Libreville as well as six distinct projects proposed at the end of the studio.
As the book's co-designer and co-editor with Dasha Ortenberg, our job was to succinctly present our collective findings as well as rework the graphics and summaries of the six projects to form a cohesive argument. Namely, that with thought and care, the growth of Gabon's industry and the protection of its ecology need not be at odds.
