Role: Lead Designer with A+C
A new arts center was proposed in upstate New York. The site consisted of an existing church building, no longer in use. The goal was to create an artists residence that would house 4 guest artists at a time and gallery space to display their work.
The design consisted of a series of pavilions and decks, each becoming more private the further into the site in which they were situated.
Material cues were taken from the existing church, though the forms of the pavilions were left austere so as not to compete with artwork on display.
